Perfumery is a very vast sector in which certain perfumes are true legends. Time seems to slip over them without ever leaving a trace except that of the bonus. Thus, they are sometimes assimilated to great vintages. This is why Jérôme Epinette, renowned perfumer, thinks about each of his perfumes with the same passion as that which drives a winegrower.
The origins of Jérôme Epinette
Jérôme Epinette was born in Burgundy. Thus, he has always bathed in the scent of vines and has been able to repeatedly contemplate the passion of winegrowers for their profession. From a very young age, he became interested in winemaking and the profession of sommelier. Also, although he turned to perfumery, he thinks of each of his juices as a grand cru in which he assembles different raw materials as grape varieties. Likewise, he does not hesitate to collaborate with other teammates in order to broaden his vision of perfumery. In this capacity, he teamed up with Olivia Giacobetti and Ben Gorham.
Jérôme Epinette at Robertet
After obtaining a Master in nutrition and olfaction at the Higher National Institute of Agronomic, Food and Environmental Sciences in Dijon, Jérôme Epinette turned to training at the Perfume Institute in Grasse. Once his diploma in hand, he joined the Robertet group in 2003. To this day, he still works as perfumers within this brand which is a giant in the perfume industry. As such, he works for many famous brands, passing through many very diverse olfactory styles, which has earned him very favorable reviews on several occasions. Thus, Jérôme Epinette has worked for L’Occitane en Provence, Lucky Scent and Victora Secret. Nevertheless, he was also interested in niche brands such as Atelier Cologne.
It would be too tedious to list the number of olfactory creations by Jérôme Epinette as it has proven to be so prolific since his entry into the Robertet house. This scent enthusiast thus seems to set no limits, always finding a creative interest in each new project.
